Personally, I have found great value studying famous people from my own type through autobiographies. Most of us spend the early years of our lives feeling lost and trying to figure out our purpose or how we want to end up. I’ve found studying those of my type who have found their purpose, and have then achieved success, gives me a shortcut to understanding my own potential and the directions my life could go.

The keys to success as an ENFP revolve around developing your thinking function. This is your ability to be objective, rational, and disciplined. Your Te function will also help you stay focused and organized, and keep you moving in a focused direction. As you develop your Te, you will learn to develop longer time frames for your goals, and therefore be more likely to overcome obstacles and follow through.

Walt Disney was an ENFP and he could predict the future of the company by looking at the big picture. ENFPs are also well-known for their passion, creativity and originality. Some of the most famous actors out there are ENFPs!

In all they do, ENFPs bring liveliness and a sense of play to life. This makes them fun co-workers, friends, and partners. Other important names on this list are Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Elle Fanning, Jerry Seinfield, Ellen Degeneres, Keira Knightley, Katie Couric, Orson Welles, Oliver Stone, and, believe it or not – George Carlin. You may think that George wasn’t a Feeler, and was probably one of those immoral, unhealthy ENTPs. Nope, George Carlin was an ENFP.

ENFPs delight in movement and are often the catalyst for change on a societal level. While they are often bored with the details and may struggle to “follow through” on plans, ENFPs have an incredible ability to initiate change and get the ball rolling.

In the political arena, ENFPs aren’t interested in run of the mill politics. ENFPs only get involved when they’re trying to right an injustice or make a massive change in the way things are done.

Dear ENFP, remember this:

One challenge for the ENFPs is that they can be “good” at many things because they are naturally intelligent, they’re quick learners, and are very adaptable. This leads many ENFPs down a path of mediocrity. ENFPs must not settle for good and instead should seek opportunities to use their true strengths and become great. 

Another common scenario for ENFPs is the search for their purpose or the sweet spot where they really do excel. This is a good path for the ENFPs but can appear to be unfocused to the outside world.

Overall, ENFPs are fun, optimistic, and caring individuals who want the best for themselves and the people around them. When they discover themselves and focus on their true purpose, an ENFP is capable of tremendous levels of success and of making a positive impact on the world.
